    The Heart of The City

    Centro

    Centro, also known as the historic center of San Miguel de Allende, has been around since the 16th century and is the heart of town. El Jardin, which faces the famous La Parroquia church, is the center of social activity in Centro.

    Los Balcones​

    Los Balcones is a quiet residential neighborhood that offers panoramic views of San Miguel and is just a 10-minute downhill walk to Centro. It’s also located near the botanical gardens and has a private entrance for residents

    Atascadero

    Atascadero is a well-established residential neighborhood with wide streets and walking paths. While it’s only a 10-minute downhill walk to Centro, it also provides easy access to the Queretero and Mexico City highways and shopping at Luciernaga Plaza

    Ojo de Agua

    Ojo de Agua is situated high above the town center and offers panoramic views of the downtown area. It’s only a 15-minute walk down some of the most picturesque streets in San Miguel.

    Guadalupe

    Guadalupe is a charming and artistic neighborhood with over 40 murals on its streetscape. Via Organica, which offers organic shopping and dining, is located here as well

    Guadiana

    Guadiana is a popular neighborhood in San Miguel with wide streets, sidewalks, and underground facilities. It has several parks, charming shops, and bakeries. Guadiana also offers easy access to restaurants and shopping along Ancha de San Antonio, with a flat 5-10 minute stroll to the downtown center

    San Antonio

    San Antonio is a mixed residential neighborhood that’s popular with expats. It features small shops, neighborhood restaurants, and coffee shops. Many artists call this neighborhood home, with over 40 who participate in the annual San Miguel Open Studios in March. Walking to town takes about 15-20 minutes

    Allende

    Allende is an up and coming, artistic mixed neighborhood with charming cottages. Walking down Cinco de Mayo brings you to vegetable shops and neighborhood restaurants along Ancha de San Antonio
