Jeff Kimmel

Jeff Kimmel has been a California lawyer since 1980 and was licensed as a California Real Estate Broker from 1987 to 1991. He worked in the real estate business here in San Miguel de Allende since 2017 as a licensed Guanajuato agent.
In 2017, Jeff became a partner in the Mexican law firm, Portilla, Ruy-Diaz y Aguilar (portilla.com.mx). PRA has offices in Mexico City, Queretaro and Los Cabos and is recognized as one of the best law firms in the country, offering comprehensive legal services, and superior ethics.
Known for unmatched integrity, a history of success in business, and for his in depth understanding of the legal and cultural differences that face clients buying and selling real estate in San Miguel de Allende Jeff has evolved into a creative problem solver and skilled listener with a gift for organization, detail, and quality results.

Since 1972 Jeff has lived, studied, worked, and traveled in Mexico. San Miguel officially became his family’s home in 2012. He is fully bi-lingual and his long-standing network of personal, business, and legal associations in Mexico are an asset to both him and his clients.
Jeff’s wife since 1982, Marta is an interior designer and talented creator of furniture who co-founded San Miguel’s 100 Woman Who Care group for whom Jeff has volunteered from its inception and is now a board member of. Jeff is also a co-founder and a board member of Preservación de San Miguel de Allende with a mission to preserve the historic center of SMA and he is of counsel to Feed the Hungry a non-profit dedicated to hunger and poverty alleviation.

Elisa fell in love with Mexico while spending a year in Veracruz as an exchange student in 1985. She made Mexico her permanent home in 2017, where she lived in both Puerto Vallarta and Punta de Mita while beginning a new career in residential real estate. Happy to now call San Miguel home de Allende home since 2021, Elisa is an involved member of the community and speaks fluent Spanish.
Before moving to Mexico, she worked in Real Estate for over twenty-five years, overseeing US expansions for retailers such as Sur la Table and Kendra Scott, leasing high-profile, mixed-use developments, and consulting on the branding, marketing and positioning of high-end shopping centers internationally.
With a reputation for integrity, superior customer service and outstanding communication, Elisa connects with her clients by listening intently, anticipating needs, creatively solving problems and having fun along the way.
Megan Kimmel Martin

Megan was born in Northern California. Her parents Jeff and Marta Gonzalez Kimmel began bringing her to San Miguel de Allende in 2002 and she returned many times with and without her parents. In 2011, she was married in San Miguel and moved here permanently in 2013.
Megan graduated from The Athenian School in the San Francisco Bay Area and attended the University of Arizona where she graduated with a B.A. in Latin American History. Megan also has a B.A. degree in graphic design.
After university, Megan worked as a real estate agent and transaction coordinator with the Sally Forster Jones Group in Beverly Hills, California. See sallyforsterjones.com. Trained under Sally Forster, she learned how to successfully work in one of the most competitive real estate markets in the world working with one of the top teams in the United States.
In 2013 Megan started and ran a successful jewelry company based in San Miguel utilizing her design background. This company featured all handmade jewelry that was all sourced in Mexico. In 2019 she sold her interests to the company to her partner.
In 2015, her son Greyson was born in Queretaro.
In 2021 Megan decided to return to her real estate roots and to partner with her father Jeff Kimmel to form the Kimmel Realty Group.

Sarah moved to San Miguel from Chicago. Like so many others, she fell in love with this magical town the first time she stepped foot here over 10 years ago.

Angela returned to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico permanently in 2016, from San Francisco, California many years after her first move to Mexico, in which she spent two years between Cuernavaca, Morelos and Mexico City. Her studies and professional endeavors in Cinema and International Relations, as well as personal travels, were concentrated across Latin America, which fostered an even deeper cultural understanding and appreciation for the Latin culture while also attaining Spanish fluency.
Her previous life in San Miguel included giving food tours and starting a local boutique concierge & cultural experience business. She now lives with her son, who was born in San Miguel de Allende in 2019, and is very savvy with the ins-and-outs of both a family-
friendly or child-free lifestyle in San Miguel.
